Earlier we made conversion Tokina 11-16 with Nikon mount on PL mount , but most of users asked me to make conversion Tokina 11-16 with Canon mount on PL , because such type of lens has cine style rotation . Now made new variant of conversion on PL mount . Lens full rehoused , barrels made from hard aluminum black anodised and additional painted with black powder paint to avoid scratches on barrels .Conversion Tokina 11-16 with Canon mount on PL more difficult , therefore lens more expensive than conversion Tokina 11-16 Nikon on PL , but more cheap Duclos conversion . On photos experimental lens with bad engraving of scale – it not like me ( I was absent at home and technician made it himself ) , the next lenses will have another engraving – equal as lenses Zeiss Superspeed MKIII .
Price of lens $ 3200
If you want to order Tokina 11-16 Nikon - conversion on PL with non cine style rotation - price $ 2500
If you need I shall send photos .
Conversion made in St.Petersburg , Russia
If you have any question , you can ask me
Best regards
Sergey

What's the coverage on Epic full-frame? Does it vignette at the wider end? If so, up to what focal length?

This is a nice conversion but the engraving is reversed on zoom. It makes it awkward to use. The conventional way of engraving will help.

I have wrote in description that engraving was made without me and next lenses will have engraving like on prime lenses Zeiss Super Speed MK III

Should cover just fine. The Duclos conversion covers full 5K on EPIC, even at 11mm.

Wow this is cool lens... I think I need one..
Sergey, any other cool conversions you make for PL ? Maybe a tele zoom?

I was shooting with the Duclos 11-16 on my Epic a week ago. There was notable vignetting in the corners at 11mm when shooting 5kFF. Zooming into 12mm gave much more acceptable results for my purposes at the time (commercial sporting goods shoot).

Hi Sergie,
Do you have pics of conversion on PL with non cine style rotation..

Paul, you're now the second person to report vignetting with Epic and the Tokina 11-16. Are you able to post some frame grabs and specific camera settings?

Cheers

I thought I had vignetting, but it was a screw-in ND that caused it. Absolutely no vignetting at 5K without the screw-in. Arri LMB15 is fine all the way out to 11mm.

Sergei,

I have used the Tokina and I am in no doubt what an impressive piece of glass it is at the price point. BUT would it not be best not to have the word TOKINA engraved large on the lens barrel? Tokina has no reputation in professional glass and it might be better with some cool Russian name if any?

Sergey, where are you? I have prepared to buy from you i've been emaling you since Sept 7 and you have not replied.

is true, it's a scary to buy Sergey due to lack of communication. but in the end he appear, he sends you the glass and allways strictly complies with the deal.

I remember the first time I buy a set of rehoused Lomos from him and pass a months searching Sergey through Internet, I became convinced that he had been scammed me. Finally found people who had traded with him and reassure me. Within two months the optical arrived perfect; he solved me some optical tech problems too.

This is the "Everything in life changes... including delivery dates..." of St. Petersburg ;-)

not lose faith.

I have bought from Sergey and yes the delivery times can be long but he does deliver...eventually.
