Will I be able to connect the Red Drive to the Scarlet? Or does it only accept the CF Cards?

My guess is that they'll come out with a new smaller external drive accessory that has Firewire 800 in. Just a guess though.

I was thinking about the Firewire 800... isn't the maximum datatransfer 80MB/s from that? Scarlet is 100MB/s

I think they'd be smart to include the option of attaching the RED DRIVE (320GB) and RED FLASH (64GB), in addition to CF card recording. Many of us don't want to record to spinning hard drives, but would gladly pay $4500 more to shoot on Scarlet and record longer takes on the RED FLASH drive. SSD is where it's at for me, but many would be happy to just use the $900 RED DRIVE instead. Options are good.

If they include the plug for the RED DRIVE, they'll sell TONS! No more cheap-ass-Firestore-4-pin-firewire-connector getting loose during shots. The mass market is ready to embrace tapeless storage, but they need to be able to shoot at least 1hr without having to swap cards. RED DRIVE and RED FLASH are perfect for this.
