What happens if your RED ONE is on a job when your number for stage 3 comes up?

Has this been discussed? Will the place in the queue be kept until the job ends?

Just need this info to book our next jobs, mainly to know if to embark or not in long shootings.

Step number one, call Red and see if they can help you out in any way. My experience is that they are pretty helpful. If they can't help you out (because you probably aren't going to be the only one with this issue) rent a Red One body until your Epic comes.

I've already told a few Indie productions that I may have to suspend shooting while I upgrade to Epic-X. I get that in the contract, I am explaining the RED situation to them. This also has me working on my own production right now.

As it was with Red One and now what i read also with Epic - X you have 30 days to pay your camera after ou receive the email from red. They probably will give you this 30 days for stage 3 to pay for your camera and send back the Redone, so you can shift around a bit with schedules.

I agree with Manuel. Seems like what's most important is sending in your payment ($10,500) once you receive the 1st email, after that is done I'm sure your bomb squad rep will be able to work with you on your camera trade in date (within reason).
