I wanted to share this project that I found on Vimeo:

They are planning on doing 5 short films, I believe all underwater. They have been posting updates every week, and it looks like a great project. They are looking for an Epic with underwater housing, so I wanted to throw it out there for them. I am not affiliated with the project in any way, but thought they could use a post on here.

Hey Ketch. Im working with these guys on some of the UK parts for the first block of above water shooting schedule allowing, Dave and Eve and the rest of the gang are amazing filmmakers - highly recommend them.

Looks like an interesting project.

Andi, about December I'm planning to offer a housing for the Epic with wide angle optics capable of resolving 5k underwater - about an order of a magnitude more than traditional flat or dome ports are capable of.

Hope this may be of interest.

Was just at GATES Underwater Products yesterday having a look at the new Deep Epic (underwater housing) design and offering some minor input to the John the senior engineer and owner. I expect to be BETA testing the housing as soon as it comes out of the mill......Most telling are the NEW and REDESIGNED Iris/Focus Controls with ball bearings installed for very tight and precision control. Additionally, I just returned from Galapagos testing Gates NEW Lighting system....They are LED in both Tungston and Daylight.....now everyone seems to be making LED lights, but what is MUCH different about these new lights are the the fact that the Li-Ion batteries are built into the LIGHT HEAD and there is NO CABLE to a battery back. I used these on both a Gillette Underwater commercial as well as (last week) shooting for a Nat. hist. doc. and they are incredbly bright...far brighter than most any video HID light heads....

.....Gates is the KIT i ROLL with and have the pleasure of being one of few BETA testers. So if you are in need of a fully professional Underwater KIt including housing/camera, feel free to PM or email me.
