I loved the sand! It makes it spectacular!

But I would add some more debris inside. ;D

I agree

Ultimately for the commercial we pulled back to about 80% sand and added more debris and it looks great!

I'll post the final spot shortly

what glass did you use?

For the test you are seeing a combination of styrofome and drywall mixed with debris - in the spot he crushes a number of things and destroys walls and glass french doors - the doors are sugar glass shipped in from LA

Sorry you meant GLASS GLASS HAHAHA

I used my RPP for the tests - in this case I think it was the 50mm

haha. well this is amazing. the color profile looks like RPP now all i need to know is all the camrea settings you used, the type of lights, filters position of the lights and your Epic haha

LOL, you're really a stunt guy, someone mentions glass and you think about breakable glass...

I hope an AC doesn't leave a case of Master Primes near you, might turn out to be very expensive, hehehehe.

On topic, are walls like this difficult (or exepensive) to build or it's mainly a know-how thing?

Nice! If only the Kool Aid dude had looked as awesome.

We hired a local fabricator for the set

Initially went from expensive design w gator wood to cheap home depot materials and know how bc it actually works better w cheaper materials (while it was pricey for the job in general because of the scope I'd say it can be done affordably now with some know how for sure).

"In this case we are shooting 300fps at a 4 degree shutter"

Is that a typo?
That means a shutter speed of 1/27,000 second!!!!
I thought the fastest shutter speed on Epic was 1/8,000.

How much light did you use?

Those are the settings I put in the camera

We had to make this an exterior shoot for the test to get enough light

For the actual spot we shot 120fps w 45 & 15 degree shutter and less light was needed

This looks awesome! A brief tutorial on how to do it please?

The basics of the wall is precut drywall and stryrofoam filled with sawdust and debris pockets that is then cleaned up on the exteriors for paint and molding etc and incorporated into the set...

We spent a lot of money with the fabricators testing this process and ultimately...home depot materials and you're good to go!
