For those of you who might have missed this in my EPIC-M owners thread...

First Sample Footage from my EPIC-M and a Prototype of the DSMC Ti Canon Mount. Much more to come.

A slight curve added. Nothing more. Processed in RC-X Professional. REDColor2/REDLogFilm

That's really nice. Creamy bokeh and pleasing lens flares, what you would expect from Canon L glass. Put some sound in there. Any sound.

I'm on the fence about the streak flaring. On the one hand it's a little bit distracting, on the other hand it's kind of cool looking.

I agree ... the gate flare is nice when it fits the look but there are going to be plenty of situations where you don't want it.
Is there any word on a cover?

Music videos FTW!

Just tell em it's anamorphic glass ; )

From tonight's shoot in Downtown LA...

Thanks to Mike Hedge for lending me a set of 5 Canon Lenses and for introducing me to Mac
Thanks to Miguel de Olaso, "Macgregor" for driving his Porsche
Thanks to Karim Belkasemi for his assistance

Yeah, this is a prime example IMO of streak flaring gone wrong. Don't get me wrong, I love flares, but when you have vertical and horizontal flares, it gets very distracting.

BTW, Joseph, congrats on the Epic!

Have to agree with Kyle on the vertical gate flaring. :(

But still want an Epic! :)

Awesome team, Epic+Canon lens :).

Hey Josepth, what kind of resolution have you use with canon lens in your sample clip ? 4K, 5K ? ?

Thanks for sharing

So many shots from that canon mount in so little time!

Way to go!
Are you posting which glass you are using Joseph?

In my experience, the flare ha been quite controllable so far.
I can see where it isn't, but it has so far not been a real issue.

Don't throw gas on the fire. I am sure RED has noticed this and will do something about it asap.
