What HDMI spec is EPIC OUTPUT?...want to use HDMI to COMPOSITE converter

Hey so I am wanting to use an Epic with a vga set of video glasses that have composite IN....and I was looking at this:

as you can see it's specs are:
HDMI Version

Compatible with HDMI 1.3 and HDCP

Input HDMI Resolution

480p (60Hz), 576P (50Hz), 720p (50Hz / 60Hz), 1080i (50Hz / 60Hz), 1080p (50Hz / 60Hz)

will this "see" the epic hdmi feed and give me what I need?

ALSO: Does Epic even FEED hdmi OUT while recording at this point?

HCMI output is not enabled on Epic (M or X) yet. I think I'd wait on buying any accs for HDMI output until the final specs are published and the feature is firmware enabled.

HD-SDI.

You might want a Decimator 2 or similar - offers composite and hdmi out.

I do wish they'd hurry up with the HDMI output.

I'd be willing to accept 8 bit 720p, or a simple option to turn off SDI so that HDMI can run, if that is a problem. Ultimately I really want both SDI and HDMI working as "advertised" but something as a stop gap is better than nothing I have right now.

That's keeping me on Red One, and other cheaper HDMI capable cameras, for a lot of jobs that can frankly use Epic.

Its a budget reducer I count on very often.

Decimator or other SDI to HDMI converters are items I have to expense, because they are nearly impossible to sell as rentals with the level of producer I deal with. (Yeah yeah ... FML)

Also note that playback is not enabled at this time for EPIC M or X from the camera.
Either you have to record it on devices such as AJA KI pro or Mini through Hd-SDI output and then playback from there or offload the data to hard drive and playback from REDCINE X.

This is a very good choice. Deci 2 works perfect for this setup. Bear in mind that HDMI cables shall not allowed more than 10 meters.
