  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Red EVF for sale

Is this the kind that works with EPIC or the kind that does not work with EPIC?

I can vouch for the condition of Axel's gear personally. He takes very good care of all his gear, and a good guy at that :)

the older evf's are mixed bag, some have a specific firmware (as stated by Jarred) that will work on Epic, some don't. there's no way of finding out. If you contact your bomb squad rep, you might be able to get it updated if you send it into RED if it doesn't...

Tom Wong the weasel. See I did not even know that. I kind of assumed that all the EVFs work on
Epic.

Maybe by serial number, not sure.

It's perfect for a RWD One MX though.

The code to drive original EVF's are in EPIC... but it only works with specific versions of the EVF firmware. The original EVF firmware was not user upgradable, so owners of those existing EVF's that do not work will need to send the EVF's in for an upgrade when that firmware is complete, which it is not yet. Firmware is variable from EVF to EVF as components change, so we are still working on a firmware that will hopefully work with them all. No promises yet.

That is the post I was refereing to when I asked. I just thought RED might know, based on serial numbers, which ones and how many would require a firmware update.
