I'm checking into options for powering my Epic...I was wondering what the rear-side of the BATTERY BELT CLIP looks like? Are there any holes for attaching something like a nano clamp (see here)?

Any pictures of the rear-side?

Many thanks

Jean

If you are using RED BRICKS you can buy a quick release plate and an universal mount to mount battery plate with RED Brick on 19mm rods.
Or you can go for BACK PACK and the Battery plate for the backpack.

Harcharan, which quick release plate are you talking about?
The backpack and battery plate are backordered...and may not be available til after hell freezes over ;)

As an example, this is all I want (see photo). The battery plate was cannibalized from the RED Cradle, which has to accompany the RED MX I sold. I took the steel plate off and replaced it with an Element Technica Aluminum battery plate and attached a Manfrotto Nano Clamp and voila, a battery plate that takes up less space and weighs a couple of pounds less.

Anyone have any suggestions?

if you actually want to attach the battery to a belt the clamp looks a little big; when I'm doing handheld I have the brick with the battery plate in a pouch on a belt (I lengthened the cable) also because I want to protect the whole thing from bumping into something. But maybe I misunderstood you and and having it on a belt is not what you are looking for...

Thanks for your input.

Harcharan: I find the quick plate to be big and not very flexible regarding mounting options...would need to mount it to another universal mount which adds weight and complexity. Have a look at the 'elegant' solution provided in picture I attached.

Hans: Being able to attach the battery to a belt would be nice but isn't essential. But if I could use the belt clip *and* attach a nano so that I could clamp the battery anywhere I want (belt, rod, tripod post, etc.) that would be nice.
