Hey guys, just curious what the best way to mount my matte box/FF/other 15mm LW accessories is? (please read on)

Right now I have 8" rods and they butt up to the camera, which means I can't rotate my MB stages.. Do I just need to buy different size rods for each setup I have to enable the perfect length?

Basically is there and 15mm LW setup that lines up properly with the ability to slide the rods past the camera?

I do mostly smaller LW setups as of right now and really only see the option of rods of different sizes..
Hopefully my birthday today brings a happy (inexpensive answer) hahaha
Any ideas?

Thanks!

Either way works. You can slide the 15mm rods back past the camera through your 15mm bridgeplate or you can use various sizes of rods to accommodate different lenses (zooms/primes) and accessories.

The 15mm LW width doesnt seem to make what you are saying possible.. I would love to see a picture

I don't think this is it. Looks like the rods are going to stop at the camera unless there is someway to mount this upside down. Justin = I'm also looking for a solution.

I think you need to get a matte box that is designed for light weight rods. I use an MB-19, and the rods can keep right on trucking out the front, and all stages still rotate. This pic is of an F3, but I run the exact same setup on my Red.

My MB is made for LW setup, this issue is not with the RED ONE, just the EPIC..

I am looking for a solve that doesn't involve spending thousands of dollars.

Ok, now I am confused. Is your issue that you can't rotate your mattebox stages because they hit the rods, or something else?
