  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC-X production...

I have been waiting for this day since November 13, 2008. I am incredibly excited to hold my first Epic in my hands but I can't imagine how proud the RED team must be right now. You guys have finally delivered what many said was impossible.

Hehe... if only it were that easy to be first in line. :)

Hey, With the right amount of money you can do anything you want.

Tack a couple zeros on the back of your payment and I'm sure they will gladly scoot you up to the front of the line. :D

Hehe... if only it were that easy to be first in line. :)

Congrats, RED!

Didn't you get an EPIC-M, Jeff? I thought that pretty much got you immediate first in line privileges, and if my memory serves, all it took is about $10k more than a regular EPIC.

So all it took was money :)

D

Congratulations.

Right on schedule. :001_smile:

Truly a landmark day for the industry! Congrats to Jim, Jarred, and the entire RED team on this incredible milestone!

Could this mean that Scarlet is not far behind?

Outstanding! To be able to be at the factory and watch them being built would be like going to Krispy Kreme and watching the baby doughnuts being born. Hot Epics NOW! Sweet!

Congrats Team...

CONGRATULATIONS JIM and the RED TEAM!

Congratulations on reaching yet another stepstone in cinematographic history.

Epics shipping? Needs more ice. ;)

Freaking awesome! You already have a Scarlet or Epic-S customer in me...now if things turn out fine in the next few months I fully expect to buy an Epic-X. Having shot the first British indie to use the "M" a few months ago I'm more than happy to say that I don't want to use another camera in my life...you guys rock! Now it's time to crush the competition and silence the remaining critics :D

I know we don't need anymore useless posts here, but...

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Congrats Jim, Jarred, Graeme, Deanan and the rest of the team. It's been an amazing ride since those early days, selling titanium R's on the show floor that first NAB. (I still proudly hold #182... :) And the story is just getting started...

Way to go!

Could this mean that Scarlet is not far behind?
That's possible. But Jim also said there was a "small lens issue" with Scarlet that needs addressing. Who knows that means? Could mean a one week additional delay, could mean a few months. When Jim gets a moment to catch his breath an update on Scarlet would be nice.

But for now, big props to the Red team. Hat's off!
