Is there anybody living near EEFX company (Blue- Greenscreen Backdrops? http://www.eefx.com/)?
If yes, could you tell me please: are they really making business or is it a Internet Scam?
I´m really pissed off with them, because I ordered a Backdrop beginning of January 11 and haven´t received anything until now. No answer on e-mails. Yes, sure, fully paid in advance over pay pal...This always works fine with such companies.
I really appreciate your help/input.
Thank you,
Marc

Marc,

If you paid with Paypal, I would suggest to open a claim with them : they have a good support and will contact the seller to try to solve the problem. In case the seller doesn't answer, Paypal will refund you.

Thank you Kristin,
I did, but like Joe posted above it only works within 45 days.
Cheers,

Looks like you are not alone: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?97091-EEFX-Greenscreen-Experiences/page2& - http://www.trustlink.org/Ask-The-Community/Question/Business/Trust-EEFX-or-not-6268

On a general note, I would always do an online check like "(company name) experiences". Personally I am always careful with businesses that only list a PO address.

But you should be able to get your money back from PayPal, or your credit card issuer.

You´re right Martin. I found the mentioned post too late...before that post I was reading only good things about them. Thanks for the tip with the PO address, I wasn´t aware of it.
I´m not living in a city and I´m depending from shopping online. There should be a database about trustworthy shops. Maybe it exists? "Paypal verified shop" and so on is not enough.
OH! I just realised your link is such a source! Many thanks for that!

No, I paid over my bank account via Paypal. Paypal closed my case weeks ago.
Thank you Kristin,
have a good day,
Marc

FYI:

Telephone number for the EEFX website is listed as (805) 462-3339

Reverse look-up shows this telephone number belonging to Jon Elsdon of Elsdon Enterprises on Commerce Way, Paso Robles, CA

Paso Robles is just up Hwy. 101 from Atascadero (P.O. Box location of EEFX)

Further investigation reveals:

Elsdon Enterprises LLC
1615 Commerce Way, #C1
Paso Robles, CA 93446-3637
Camera and photographic supply store
Jon Elsdon, manager

Google Street View shows a shabby industrial park but it's impossible to see if this company is still there or not.

This is public info straight off the internet.

If I weren't 5,000 miles away, I could swing by and see how those green screens are comin' along :-)
