Shot this ACTIVISION commercial for "PROTOTYPE 2" a few months ago with my EPIC-M #490 and iPanchros. 90% of the live elements were shot with EPIC and also all the particle effects. Some quick close-up cutaway 5D stuff as well.

They blended the footage with the CG game stuff as they wanted to blend both worlds as closely as possible.

You've been on a roll, Norm. Excellent stuff.

Just curious - how do you personally feel about mixing the live action with video game footage?

Good question Michael.

I'm on the fence but I also think it was somewhat important to blend the two because one is obviously fully CG and if it's pure live graded EPIC footage, I think it would be kind of jarring to intercut the two in such a short piece.
I think it works in this case as it's sometimes hard to tell what's what, especially with all the quick cuts.
