To also have a degree in law (even conferred by one of the best/exigent law schools worldwide, US included) doesn't entitle you to immediately be a lawyer or to hold the craft, at least. Otherwise, a jurisconsult, a person learned in law (a jurist) you shall be for life, no matter how many other crafts you'll also need to learn (and manage, beyond any other poster skills you much like to give to your little free time LOL) in order to get your goal

Even if you specialized yourself in economics within your law degree, no one will place in your hands with no reason a significant assets portfolio to manage, as of now. Which, until the end of 2011, it will mean 2x EPIC-X packs to order + 8x EPIC-S as soon as they will be ready to deliver. So far...

As same as holding two different degrees such as in editing and directing too -- also by an official film school (where the admission was used to be as demanding as the same level as the <film> school of Lodz for example, which twice rejected the entrance to Krzysztof Kieślowski (!) as apprentice before to surely become filmmaker, someone with whom I am proud to have personally met and could listen something from) doesn't make you to be in condition to handle an EPIC straight out of the box, pathetically trying to imitate others' craft.

Or as you wish, a DoP of commercials or corporate video -- no matter how good work or skills they show off or show up doesn't mean you'll easily get any producer (of where FBI has their jurisdiction, as for instance ;-) to hire you as cinematographer or/and to let you to choose "the media" to shoot then, as matter of fact, a way too far 'territoire' from, capice? We never know... LOL Internet really sucks sometimes. At times, to have the possibility to read you (and your humor) over these pages, guys, is a sign of a brand's eclectic forum. Before, a scam. Today, academy awarded in two consecutive years. The fact I am referring the Best Foreign category, connected in a certain way to names (not necessarily registered but the most solid brand/asset ever, for sure) you've been in touch with along the years, gives you the hope the democratization really came to this side of the universe.

I don't attempt serious conversations with this poster because I know it's a hoax.
"Emanuel" has been invited numerous times to demonstrate that he is a real person, by a variety of quite simple means, but he routinely ignores such requests. Every time he slips up in his facade, he comes up with ever more ridiculous "explanations" for his incomprehensible behaviour.


It's pretty easy to get a listing of every one of his Cinematography.com posts; I challenge anybody to find a single one that conveys any new or useful information.

It's either a perfect example of a "Loose Cannon" or it's an inside job:coolgleamA:

This is a long, long story you can follow on cinematography.com forums, therefore, a public one because of RED, a way further than only private (even if I wholly share your view when you are the original poster of this thread, how couldn't I? for years.

When RED was labeled as a scam by mere (digital) haters (no more than that) I and maybe other people in less the number than the fingers you can count in one hand, we were/are used to be denigrated along the attacks perpetrated against RED or personally addressed to the company's owner who was used to post there, as well (despite the fact Jarred was not there to defend himself, even Jarred was dreadfully attacked in the same boards, so today as of yesterday, I think I am in good company).

The fact I had a 4-years FILM school as background was not well seen. No hard to guess why on this one.

So, if the useless attempts to put my non-native english (go figure!) out of circulation didn't succeed, nothing better than giudicare (the italians have it perfectly for the english form 'pass sentence') who never pronounced amen with -- as «universal truths accepted worldwide» always towards the same target, always behind the typical mouse + keyboard combo somewhere hidden in the other side of the world.

Or to include the digital enthusiast in the same 2nd class of "videomakers" along any RED client (so, no real life's CV or detailed answer from you is enough to recognise what the official keyboard virtually says it is not LOL) labeling the rebel 'as film hater' (completely idiot) or the best yet, a 'hoax' as you now see it here by the hands of the summus pontifex himself.

In Keith's theory of conspiration, I could/can be an 'insider' from RED team or even Jim_Jannard in disguise. If we can take them as jokes, we won't be speaking just about them right off the box, unfortunately.

FYI, when RED ONE was already to be (big) screened or broadcasted, Keith was still claiming that didn't exist as announced, 'cause he hadn't seen it in the theatre (or TV set of his neighbourhood in Australia -- hilarious!

On the other hand, it had been possible to even read one of them to cowardly attack Jim_Jannard with the accusation that some unfriendly PMs had been supposedly received (that 'supposedly' is mine), with posts threatening Jim J. about apparent private email traded between both posters, as for instance this type of blackmail typed there in other words but more or less something like "let me know if you want I shall post it to everyone see"...

His style too as usual 2nd round at times; when some fakeness pops up when with no extra lines to add, the cheap comedian is climbin' down. Sad to see.

If Jim Murdoch's avatar was actually the real photo of a widely unknown scottish painter with the same name (no connected with the film business at all!), Jim Murdoch account was later identified as Keith Walters himself. Even though, last time I read, Keith was still trying to convince himself and the world that Jim Murdoch's account had been hacked on his behalf and someone had written Keith Walters later at the profile administered by Tim_Tyler on cinematography.com before to have been closed down.

LOL For sure, I'd dare to say, in his behalf (what else?), not only both styles match but his humor is funny (for some reason I once invited him to join reduser and post here instead, no idea however if he ever played or even saw a RED camera in person) when this guy doesn't place his own agenda to pair with an irresistible liking to be nasty for his brother.

I want to believe if you are not the owner of this company, you need to be an early adopter for such treatment, although granted the facts, I'm afraid this can happen with some other people somehow connected with his dislikes, who knows? Anyone from real life, please?

As It happens, I know quite a few native Portuguese speakers who also speak excellent English, so they would have had no trouble translating it into something that made sense. Those were the times when RED was only a scam I hadn't met Ted in person or I was yet trying to convince the infamous 'filmmaker's gang' (all of them, BTW to adhere to this project and place our USD4500 reservations. What you mention, Tom, is the typical case of a trademark infringement or they have a deal or any other sort of agreement with RED where this authorization was granted.

In any way for both cases, only RED can do something on the subject matter. As simple as that.

Maybe someone can help me out here? When I started my RED rental company sometime ago I thought it would be a good idea to contact RED and discuss with the TOP dogs about using the "Name" RED in my company. Well, I was informed that the name RED was a registered trademark name and that I was advised not to use it due to legalities that could arise down the road "Lawyers,Lawsuites....Oh that makes my head. I see LLC companies & individuals using the "Name" RED in the names like for instance RED ??? rentals. How does that work? I can type in RED camera rentals and pull up a whole slue of companies that are using the name quite clearly.
