My REDmote and Side Handle just arrived and I went through the manual to install it correctly, however the thumb screw isn't letting me get the handle onto the body snug enough. It is almost like when you powder coast something and the screws are a little tough to get in...

Any ideas here?

I tighten the thumb wheel until it goes no further and then I feel a little bit of wobble or play on the handle.

don't push too hard before you roll the thumb screw, just a little bit of pressure.

Hi Deanan,

Thanks very much for the response. I have tried all types of pressure as far as getting the screw to work. My bomb squad rep Patrick has advised me to ship it back and have you guys take a look at it.

There are times I feel my side handle could fit just a wee bit tighter... Actually it seem solid if I really crank that thumb-screw down hard. Almost seems as if I'm going too far with it.

While we're on the subject of side handles, I've noticed the control ring on mine is super loose compared to the one on my REDMOTE. There's enough disparity between the two, I'm not sure which one is correct, if either of them. It feels to me like the proper balance should be in between. REDMOTE feels too stiff, side handle feels too sloppy. That's the round control ring, rotary dial part.

Yeah when I spoke to the guys on the phone today about the problem with the handle, I was worried that it could be the threads on the actual EPIC brain however they said that they weren't worried and that 9 times out of 10 it is the side handle that has the problem.
