  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Anybody in the know have any information about P.T. Anderson's "The Master" and why Robert Elswit is not lensing Anderson's latest? IMDB lists Mihai Malaimare, who did fantastic work in Tetro, but I was shocked to read that Elswit is not involved. Of course, IMDB also states that "The Master" is being shot on 16mm with an Arri S when there is credible word coming in that it is in fact being photographed in 65mm, so I'm for the moment taking what's listed with a grain of salt.
 
I've read that the IMDB data is wrong and it is being shot on both 35mm and 65mm. Not 16mm.
 
I have several friends who worked on that show while it was shooting in the SF Bay Area; and I can confirm (at least 2nd hand) that they shot on both 65mm and 35mm with 65mm accounting for a substantial portion of it.
