Really?

...Really?

Heh... I call bullshit too. I think I can name three of Ketch's inspirations with reasonable accuracy...

Overcoming his own life's hardships
Perseverance of the Human Spirit (linked to above)
Really beautiful women

Ansel Adams

Joseph Beuys

Gabe Bartalos

Exactly why I said what I said... ;)

I take Inspiration from life itself, so much so, that naming anything and everything that inspires me, will not fit in millions of lines... ;)

I am inspired just by awakening every morning and see that I yet have an other day ahed of me... ;)

Now that I am back at home, every time that I see the streets of Rome, pass by the Colosseum, see the History that lies within us, I am inspired... I see what some of the greatest people before us have left us...

Wish one day some one will say so about something I will have left behind and fill as inspire as I do, to work as hard as I do, to leave something behind to inspire others... ;)

"This are my Inspirations"

My inspiration its completely Invisible, buried within me... ;)
I guess I agree with this as much as anything. Nothing really "inspires" me that I am aware of. Getting my movie idea made is just something I have to do. It has even grown beyond wanting to do it, but still I must.

More visual reference than inspiration, but a fine line exists between the 2.

Now that's the real Ketch. You will do it, my friend, because you have decided to. All the best.

After visiting the Louvre this week I would have to say almost any work by the French neoclassicists, especially those of jean auguste dominique ingres.

I have finished 3 seasons of "Breaking Bad"

and man.... Michael Slovis (Newly Appointed ASC Member) is amazing.

The way he uses the camera to frame shots and the mise en scene is just magical. I am not sure the show is as good as it is without his style.

If you haven't seen the show, check it out. It has definitely inspired me to think more outside the box with how I approach angles and utilizing DOF
