  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Final Cut Pro X Released

Maybe it's just me, but did Apple just take down all the reviews of FCPX off their site?

Expect Apple to say something very soon, the written reviews have been disabled, they know how much of a PR nightmare this is, and ONLY because of the PR nightmare will they say something.

Let's just hope it is good news.

written reviews seem to be working for me. All the reviews show up too.

EDIT; Actually they aren't there now. WTF.

comments are gone here too.
man, if they have the balls to release this bullshit, they should have the balls to take the heat.
i really wish for them to make a FAST update with xml/EDL/OMF/DPX support and all the missing things.
avid is waiting.

Yep, the Australian App Store has removed all the reviews for FCPX. Last night, most of the star ratings were negative, with a few positive ones. All the written reviews were bad, with almost all of them saying that the application is not professional. Now, those reviews have been removed. I think that is pretty shoddy. Did anybody take screenshots while they were still there? Are any App stores still showing reviews? Take some screenshots, quick!

ok, that's not right. Not happy with Apple right now if they did in fact pull these reviews. very shady.

They issued me a refund, so I'm done bitching about it.

I'll try it again once it has XML and EDL support, native support for my cameras and a fully open scripting engine and/or open and documented developer access. Until all that happens, it will be nothing more than iMove Deluxe.

I can only think a public statement is imminent now that the review system is shut down. If rumors of how Steve Jobs reacted to the MobileMe launch are anywhere close to true, he's gotta be having a total psychotic break right now.

Not that I want my money back cause I want to give it a chance, but what happens to your app when you get a refund. Does it still work?

People used iMovie because it was free. People used final cut because it was cheap and good, and for the most part could do everything that editing software twice (or more) it's price could do. FCPX is neither free or good. I'm not sure who they made this for. $300 for your causual imovie/youtube/internet video user is too much. The professional market doesn't care how much it costs as long as it works.

You can get refunds on apps, actually. At least, you could 3 or so months ago.
