  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Question to Red: Payment & Place in Line Rules for Red & Accessories

Due to finance juggling, I have a question:

If I pay $7500 on credit card and wire 10k (I have the CA tax form), I'll be able to pay for and get the Red body. Can I then pay for the accessories separately, maybe a few days to a week later on credit card, or will I lose my place in line for the accessories? (prod. pack, battery, cf, etc. -- NOT the evf or lcd; i want to wait and get the 7" later).

Also, do I need to order the 7" lcd now to get in line for it? Or since I've been waiting in line for the 5" and now want the 7", am I still in line for that? Sorry, but this in line, pending, availability, etc. is a little confusing.

Although I truly appreciate the fact that Red is honoring the reservation system so well. :)
 
it is a limit of $7500 on a credit card per order. So if you pay for your RED ONE and take delivery of it, that is one order. If you get accessories later, that is a separate order and use can use a credit card up to $7500 on it.

We expect to have significant quantities of the 7" RED PRO LCD when we first start shipping so queue for it should be a moot point.

Okay. So I would have to cancel my accessories in my current Red camera order and then make another one later. And since I'm just getting the basic production pack, cf module, etc., there shouldn't be any issues with waiting as I think you have those in enough quantities... same with the 7". Thanks brent.
 
Well, get the CF MODULE with your camera order! But if you want to take delivery of everything else later to allow you to use a credit card again, your call.

Once you have your camera, you will see in the webstore that you can "Buy Now" - those accessory orders get fulfilled within about 3-5 business days. So no issues as long as we have stock!

Hey Brent,

For those of us in the 1501-1750 group could we up to the 7" without a big delay from the time that our cameras ship to the time that the 7" would ship?

My rep sounded like it would be a good while until we could get our hands on the 7", you seem to sound differently...

Stop by and say hi in our 1501-1750 thread... It's been awhile and we miss you over there.

Unless your using company plastic BEWARE of using a credit card for any purchases. The economy is in a recession. It's time to save and live within your means. It's no fun, I know. Inflation is on the way....gas, food prices are climbing. People are getting laid off. That rainy day you should be saving for just might be around the corner! Just a thought.
