Curt,
Any idea when a remote control will be available for Mirus? The value of the head would be increased significantly if it could also be used as a remote head on a Jib arm.

Thanks

You can currently remotely control it via wireless ethernet but its a little too laggy to work in any professional environment. We can have a set of dials control the pan and tilt fairly easily, I would say we could have the option available within a couple months from shipping in June.

We have had a lot of interest in this and its on our roadmap.

Can't Mirus be driven via USB? ~15ft is the max length for a single USB cable, but there are ways to extend this to 100ft or more with little or no impact on performnace.

the best way to control it remotely is through the CAN bus. There is really no reason why you couldn't just use Impero to control Mirus... all of the axes run the same protocol as Inclino. The USB route would work but its not elegant. As soon as we ship Impero we can make a couple modifications to the hardware and bust out a controller that can be used on Mirus and do pan and tilt simultaneously.
