  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDucation Goes International... come Join us in the UK in early Sept.

Been in the works for a while, now based on high demand we are taking our REDucation overseas. We will be hosting our class the first week of Sept.

Sept 5-7th at PineWood Studios in the UK is where the next REDucation will be held. If you are anywhere in the UK, or Europe, please come join us for 3 full days of immersive learning and training on RED ONEs and EPICs from Production through Post Production. Then hop the train with us over to IBC on the morning of Sept. 8th :-) (wonder if we can reserve an entire train car and shoot EPIC on the train on the way over to Amsterdam!)

We will be hosting our RED Open House on Wed. Sept 7th in the evening, an event thats open to the Public, where you can check out all the latest stuff from RED and the aligned companies that work along with RED.

Looking forward to seeing you at this next class (and at IBC, where it looks like we will be doing a few presentations in the big RAI theater)

(the open house link on the reducationuk link doesnt go through to a current page but one for a previous event in May)

Will probably email you soon about something i spoke to Alan Piper about a month or so ago about an exciting thing you might be interested in.

Two from our shop will be making it over for Reducation and can't wait for it! We've shot over a month of production days on EPIC and are eager to dive deeper into all things RED production.

Now, we're looking for more practical information on the course...outside of what will happen during the learning.
Who should we contact in terms of logistics: hotels and accomodation? Rail transport from the major airports near London? etc.

Anyone driving up from London area?

Getting excited about next weeks REDucation now!

I was wondering if anyone was driving to Pinewood from London? I don't want to bother with public transport really and would gladly pay some petrol money.

I live in W8.
 
An update on the schedule of events for REDucation Open House - September 7th at Pinewood Studios in the REDucation 4K theater.

4pm - RED Stereoscopic Acquisition featuring 3ality Technica
6pm - EPIC 5k footage screening and Live EPIC to the big screen demo - Ted Schilowitz and Michael Cioni
7pm - EPIC Production and Post solutions and from Adobe, AJA, ASSIMILATE and 3ality

We will be previewing some IBC footage, and maybe even some kid shot Camp RED EPIC 5k footage throughout the evening, and the gear from our REDucation partners will be on site for some up close and personal hands on.

2 Quick Questions about the Open House tomorrow. Here says 4pm, and the eventbrite tickets say 6pm, which is right? And where is everyone meeting inside pinewood - i know the place like the back of my hand but not exactly sure where onsite everyones meeting.

The 4pm session is an extra, part of Reducation but now open to the Open House attendees.


In an earlier email from Brian

"This event immediately follows REDucation UK, a three day workshop taught by Ted Schilowitz and Michael Cioni and the schedule for the evening is below - please note we have opened a portion of the REDucation course to the public on Stereoscopic Acquisition with EPIC and RED ONE Cameras."

The same email says to present your ticket at the main gate and you'll be directed to RED's 4k stage.
