Hi,

My camera have got damaged on the Aux-232 port and red is looking in to it.

Have any one else seen this problem? I have been very careful with my camera and all I have had connected to the aux-232 port is a start/stop from a Preston follow focus and worked fine.

Yes, this was a problem with the first two prototype Birger mounts back in 2008, which plugged into the aux232 port - after a few uses it seems to have overdrawn the power available and there was a serious problem which required camera repair. Subsequent, production birgers plug into the rear dc out and to my knowledge there haven't been any problems with that.

Ok, thank you for the reply. Not used Birger, just a Preston start/stop. I have spoken to the rental company, and they are going to check the cable now.

Hate to bring up this old threat... But there was a cable from the C-motion system plugged into my aux 232 port today and the camera started to have smoke coming from it. So yeah something bad happened. It started up again and was able to work, just now we can't start/stop record from it. Did you ever get your camera fixed JJ?
