  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Epic Build 1.4.9 120fps

I was lead to believe you can shoot 120 fps with 6:1 compression on build 1.4.9, but I'm not getting that. Any help would be appreciated.

Von

what are you getting?
120fps is only available at 2.4:1

Von, not for nothing but just an hour ago you started a thread about were to find the latest Epic Build... Humm

Now, an hour later you start an other thread with very wrong assumptions on what is available in the Build... Humm

Don't you think is best ask this kind of questions directly to the camera owner??

Please forgive the rush to post, I normally don't do this. I just happen to be onset with the owner, and he is asking me, and he thought the compression was 6:1 @ 120 with build 1.4.9. We are in the start of a commercial, and I'm just attempting to put out fire that director started. So if anyone has an info, please share it. Shooting green screen at 12:1 concerned the director. After viewing a still frame in AE, the blue channel, gave him concern for keying.

Got you,

in fact would not be a bad idea to have a dedicated 911 area which would be for absolute only critical questions while on Set.

The frame rates and compression ratios have been posted a few times. The camera can do 120fps at 3:1 but the media can't (at this point).

Wow....just like the R1 they start out as one thing , say 38 special only to grow up to be a 9mm and in epic case starts off as 9mm with potential to be a f&$?/@king canon!!!! Nice one 3:1 at 120 is virtually uncompressed
