  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Marsupial Cine-saddle or The Lowrider camera support Bag?

David,

I keep the cord and metal clamp/hooks that come with it in there. It's good for carrying things, but you wouldn't want to keep too much in there because it would start to interfere with the bag being a cushion. It can also double as a stand-in cooler if you wanted to take a can drink on location.

After 20 years of reasonably heavy use my Cinesaddle still has loads of life in it. The quality is wonderful and stands up to a lot of abuse. It too is one of my favorite tools.

It's one of my most favorite tools and it goes where I go. For those who don't know the tool, you should try it to understand how functional it is !!! Plus, you always have something with you to put your camera on.

I don't know for the Lowerider, but the Cinesaddle from Cinekinetic certainly stands for quality. It is made from very sturdy canvas and has already proven its quality in all kinds of conditions. You can abuse it as much as you want, it is there to last !

Group Buy

Hey Mitch,

How about a group buy :-)

(I've seen them in the Able showroom in Burbank, but I haven't gotten around to actually purchasing one yet)

Steve

I bought a lowrider and was very disappointed in the quality. The material is a lot cheaper than my old Cinesaddle and I plan to return the unit ASAP. While I am anxious to save a buck, I won't trust my RED to an untrusted mount.

I'm a big fan of "the Pod" and the "Pro Pod". They are lightweight, versatile, and durable. I've used them for run an gun situations and when I travel without a tripod. I have literally balanced my camera on a fence post because of the pods ability to conform to odds shapes and surfaces. http://www.thepod.ca/.

By the way, I have a full-size marsupial Cinesaddle I am willing to sell for 300 bucks. I've only used it once. It's essentially brand new. Been sitting in my garage for a year.

Tom, do you have another solution for what it's used for, or do you just not find yourself needing the kind of shots where it is needed? I may be interested in buying it from you.

I prefer using real gyros, like the KS8 from Kenyon. Problem is, those gyros are super expensive!

Let me know if you want the Cinesaddle. I'm happy to sell it to you.
