Alright, so this is kinda related to the website (Oakley/Jim):
Anyway, to preface, I'm currently sporting a pair of Oakley Ducatti sunglasses (awesome). So, today at work I was building shelving units inside of a trailer for stupid reasons. A piece of metal shelving fell on my head, which is where I always store my sunglasses when I'm not looking through them. So, it left a massive scratch in the lenses and I decided to go to the Oakley Store here in Toronto.
I get there and the guys there start replacing the lenses. One snippet of the conversation went like this:
Store Rep: Just so you know, these lenses are shatterproof.
Me: Prove it.
Store Rep: Ok
The rep then proceeds to pull out a sledgehammer and takes one of the older lenses. He places it on the ground and smashes the hammer down on the lens. The lens flies into the air and lands on the ground, still intact, though a little more scratched.
Long story short: Oakley Lenses = fucking awesome. Nothing better than live demonstrations on how well things work when put under extreme pressure.
