Hi
Impressed by some of the great slow mo footage I've seen considering in getting the Twixtor plugin for AE.

Can anyone point me to some good tutorials for using Twixtor?

Also, are there any alternatives, that might achieve the same effect?

Hi,

I don't know where you can get tutorials, but for the alternatives you can starting using the built in timeremap inside AE, I believe it uses some tech from the foundry (and it's pretty good depending on what you are trying to do), and also you can get Kronos which is from the foundry as well...

hope this helps

Plus, if you have Final Cut Studio, there is Motion, which has the Optical Flow technology from Shake.

These things always need some testing, since the results are very much content and motion dependent. Tutorials for Motion are on the manufacturers site, or did they take them down?

But the best slo-mo is shot inside the RED…
