Really poor playback performance and sound issues... are we missing something?

We are running Storm 1.0v3 (was not any different with previous versions), on a MAC with these specs:

OS X 10.6.7
Tower 2x 2.26 GHz Quad Core Intel Xeon
10 GB 1066 MHz DDR3
NVidia GForce GT120

At 1/8th quality, no effects, or anything, no Histogram live updating, etc., playback is completely unusable. Playback is extremely choppy (no issues in REDCINE-X). The sound goes completely out of sync too after a second or two and even sounds like it has been slowed down a tad.

Are we missing something?

Try to uncheck advance mode (Storm1.0v3/Preferences/General) ...maybe is this
