Amy Alyson Fans (2010 Filming, 2011 Planned Release)

Check out our trailer just posted to http://www.facebook.com/AmyAlysonFans

Our official Website, AmyAlysonFans.com, remains a "prop" site from the film and will be refreshed shortly. The film stars Cooper Harris (various Sy Fy channel films) as Amy Alyson, Brendan Bradley (Squatters, Redwoods) as Jay Balch, Lochlyn Munro (Dead Man on Campus, Scary Movie, Unforgiven) as Erik the Agent, Josh Sussman (Glee, Warren the Ape) as Pete, and Jason-Shane Scott (One Life to Live, Starship Troopers II) as Kevin. It also features popular video bloggers used within the film such as Michael Buckley, Brittani Louise Taylor, Chris Thompson, and Elle.

Amy Alyson Fans was shot on the RED One "Kiwi," Robin Charters' camera, from June 8 through June 20, 2010. Several pickup days were also used, one in late August, another in September, and a final one in October. We shot 2.35:1 at 4K.

Additional cameras used were the Canon 5D Mark II for several establishing shots and "home video" footage seen in the film, and the HVX200 was used for the dominatrix scene briefly shown in the trailer. That scene in the plot of the film is from a cheesy cable TV movie appearance by Amy Alyson, thus why we wanted to shoot it with a different camera and give it a different feel.

This was my first opportunity working with the RED One, as writer-director of the project, and we had a wonderful time from production through post-production! Very excited about showing this movie to the world. Our cast and crew screening is Thursday, May 12 at Sony and we are part of the Director's Finder Series at the DGA on June 3. I joined the DGA on this film.

Hope you enjoy the trailer!

We had our World Premiere at Action on Film in Pasadena last weekend, where we are nominated for Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Editing, and Best Soundtrack. Next month is The Indie Gathering in Ohio and New York City International Film Festival, where we're nominated for Best Comedy Feature.

The film is now being considered by a big pay TV company, we'll see where things go. In the mean time we won Best Comedy Feature at New York City International, Best Comedy Feature at Eugene International, Best Actress at Beverly Hills Film, TV, and New Media Festival, and last weekend the Grand Jury Prize at Nevada Film Festival. Hopefully more success to come. We are scheduled to play at HDFest in Portland in April and they called our movie one of the best they got, so we'll see what happens!
