I have used Encore CS5 in the past with no problem, but when I burn with CS5.5 my Blu-ray player (PS3) doesn't recognize the disc at all... Prior to burning I do get a "Title remote not set" message when checking the project, but I believe in the past this didn't cause any problem as I have no menu's, just insert the disc and go straight to play... unfortunately using Encore CS5 is not an option for me at the moment & no updates for CS5.5 currently available...

Encore CS5.5 v5.1.0.342
Windows 7 - 64 Home Premium
Project: Blu-ray, MPEG-2, 1920x1080, 23.976, progressive, Audio:PCM, 15 Mbps

FYI: I have tried starting fresh projects & altering parameters such as bit rates, but same results...

Any confirmations on successful Blu-ray burns from Windows would be helpfull too...

TYIA!!!

The weird thing is, if you look really closely, Encore is not version 5.5, but version 5.1. At least that's how it installed on my production premium. So it's the same version you were using before.

Tony, the only thing which goes wrong is that you have not set the action when the Title button of the remote controller is hit. This is a kind of trap in Encore that many users encounter.

To set the project properly, on the left pick the "Build tab" and hit "Check project" and then "Start". Among other things the system will report back to you "Title Remote Not Set". The action related to the Title button can be set from the upright by picking "Properties" and selecting say "Stop" (or what ever you want to happen when the title button is pressed). Now go back to "Check project" and hit "Start". The system shoud not complain any longer of "Title Remote Not Set".

No luck here with Encore CS5.1, I couldn't even get it to open, crashed on start, multiple times and even after restart. Luckily I still had CS5 installed (and now it's going to stay) and I was able to work my project in Encore CS5, burn with no problems. Encore CS5.1 is the only program I've had issues with so far in the new production premium.

Hey Stefan, Thanks for the confirmation on your end... While I didn't quite have the same results as you, it seems to be a good indicator that something significant has changed since CS5... out of curiosity what operating system are you running?

Anyone else have different results???

gonna kick up encore tonight and run a test on my mac, running on os 10.6.6

I have a project I've burned 10+ copies of on CS5 already, let's see how it fairs on 5.1 encore... i'll be royally pissed if it mucked it up. I removed my whole cs5 for a cleaner install...
