Howdy,

I am trying to power either a SmallHD or and Electrosonic Wireless off the aux connector. I checked the voltage and it is present but when I connect either, I thet do not fire up. Both are within the load range. It is like the breaker is tripping. Any suggestions?

You don't happen to have an D-Tap adapter that fits?
(that's usually our attempt for driving monitoring without independent power-input)

Certainly do Peter but just trying to keep things clean. One of those "why doesn't it just work" things.

Have a good one!

Your life will be better, longer, more fun and rewarding if you just stay away from those AUX plugs for anything but camera triggering.

(also the obvious? is your pin out on the cable correct?)

Mike is right. Stay clear if you can. Also they are fused (resetable though) and seem to be set inconsistently for current and its easy to fry the trigger input if the cable is incorrectly wired requiring a return to Red and much expense......
