Besides NAB, what other conferences are good for filmmakers?

[Brennan Klensch]

I'd love to go to NAB but I just don't think I can afford the trip or even the time. BUt I went to a theater expo today and I couldn't help but thinking, "this would be awesome if it was all filmmaking/cinema stuff, like NAB". My question is, what other conferences would you guys recommend? I would love to have on on the east coast (preferably south east), south, or midwest instead of the west coast, but even west cost conferences included, which would you suggest?

This is easy--Cinegear in June. Good old Hollywood.

thanks so much!

I know Createasphere does events on both coasts during the year. Then, there's CineGear like mentioned above. If you're up for international travel, IBC is the NAB of Europe. There's several other smaller ones, too.

Glad it helped, Brennan! Would love to hear more about your visits, if you make it to any of the shows.
