  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Urgent!!! Have a 3D shoot (in EU) and it looks like RED can't deliver EPIC's in time!

So this a long shot, but I have an international beer campaign shooting around the 14-17th and we are planning on shooting 3D. Everything is set up except for 2 Epic cameras that's unfortunately needed for the weight - as we're using Pacific Motion controls overhead rig (was used on TROn for example) and it can't take heavier cameras.

I'm reaching out to see if there's anyone who might be able to rent out 2 EPIC's for the shoot. We have bought EPIC M's but it looks highly unlikely that RED will be able to deliver them in time :cry:.

Now I have to pay this out of my own pocket as the money on the production has been spent on trying to get equipment in order for the shoot. So I want to say that even though it's an international commercial there's no money for over priced rentals because of the camera being new and all. If that's the case this shoot will be 2D instead :cry:

But please email me or private message me if you have 2 cameras and is interested to come over for the shoot.

(Really hoping that this can be done as this commercial is made for being 3D and the client is totally sold on worldwide release in IMAX theatres)

Hi Guys! Thanks all for your replies. I've emailed you regarding the shoot. We most probably need them to be lined up in studio in Vilnius, LIthuania on the 13th - with a 3D rig and the moco. We're starting our shoot on the 14th and it looks like our Epic's are most probably delivered on something like the 13th, but in Denmark :cry::cry::cry: C'est la vie LOL

Well we'll see lol. It would be sad if this can't happen as this is truly an idea that benefits from 3D and the client is very excited - I'd hate to go for SI 2K's or worse as I can't deny.... I'm a RED fanboy hahahaha and of course would drool all over the studio with Epic's rolling in the rig :drool5:
 
What about a chap named Greg Williams in UK? I dunno, just heard it through the grapevine? Anyone?

Unfortunately when we finally could push the button for 3D (thanks to Ketch and all for working hard to make it happen) the client got cold feet :cry:. It's understandable as we got back to our client today (tuesday) and we are to start rehearsing etc on thursday - a little tight LOL.

Anyway, thanks for your support guys and sorry we couldn't pull it through
 
Sorry to hear this Fred, but also understand the client, 3D should not be taken lightly, and on the positive note, now you know that we have the ATOM in Italy... ;)

in 2D still looks like a great project and can't wait to see it done.
