Hi, we have been shooting a lot of tv-ads for a new local tv-station and needed some small portable red setups. Thought I share some.

Redone with prolock + zeiss zf 1.4 50 mm on a micro ladder-dolly with my 9+9 sachler head. Just to show that girls also use red :)

..and I have said it before but I say it again, I'm very happy red company exists and make fantastic cameras. :thumbup1:

Thank you all at red comp!

Janne, use the battery belt clip. that will cut weight a lot--percentage wise.

How did you make that little filter holder? Is there anything like that out there I can buy? Other than screw on filters?

Th RED 17-50 RPZ has a 67mm screw fit doesn't it? Can you tell us why you made a custom filter holder? looks good - maybe you could manufacture them?

my most favorite red accessory for a light weight set up is a 2.15-8.35 spiral Lemo power cable ... the bricks stay in the backpack protected from the cold and it´s possible to use a way lighter tripod/head. Sometimes a shovel can be the perfect french flag :)

Wahooow Pirates crew represent!! You guys are SICK Flo, I'm a huge fan of yours! Nice bare bones setup for working the snow, do you also do serious hiking with it? Cause that is where the man seperate from the boys, you guys have always been goin' right over 'the edge of comfort'...imagine doing that with your RED setup, that should be super rewarding.

Not to miss-use this thread but Flo: If you ever consider havving a second RED unit in Europe upcomming season please feel free to contact me ;) I love the Alpes more than everything. My prices are very very attractive this year (for real it's absurt almost haha) due to the place I work at ;). Also just received a 22ft motion control crane which won't be expensive dayrate...but offcourse a logistical nightmare as an opposite to this topic...but it's pretty sick to fly the RED with though! Great post, could become a great topic: I'm going to check out how far I can strip my own setup this week, thanx guys.

Hi Flo,

I've been looking for a spiral power cable to go between a red brick and the red one. Did you have this custom made or did you purchase it somewhere?

Thanks.
