  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I started a thread about dslr got closed in Off topic? It was very pro RED BTW!

There is something in the air today... apparently.

I'm going to personally delete some offending posts and hope that we all can get back to normal. Move along, nothing to see here.

I agree Mr. Jannard. I was reading through the thread and people were calling Brian rude and childish, but then being 10x so themselves and it offended me that professionals can be so childish towards each other. Hopefully no non-red user will ever see the way we've been behaving lately, it will make us users of this fine camera to look like a bunch of children.

Yeah, R1 exposure time tops out at 1 second and we tend to get hot pixels. It's nice for TL as long as 1s or less for exposure time is acceptable. You may still need an external trigger or intervalometer to achieve certain frame rates and timings. Hopefully Epic will be an awesome TL camera.

Nikon D3s. :P

Are you guys blackshading at the 1 sec exposure time?

Yes, I am. And to think of it, I don't think I've seen the hot pixel issue on the MX sensor. But have not really shot time lapse on the RED recently.

I'm black shading at the 1sec exposure and I still get hot pixels. They aren't as bad as they use to be with the "M" sensor but they are still there. Plus 1 second exposures are only useful in some situations.

Can you send me an example shot?
