  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I have to admit, I am impressed with this prototype/concept camera/phone!!!!

Impressive concept - that's what it is ...

see http://www.artefactgroup.com/wvil/

"As you’ve most likely figured out, the WVIL camera is not a real product, but a Concept Camera envisioned by Artefact's award-winning design team. It answers the question: “what’s next for camera design?” ...[...]"

I want one on My iPhone 6

closet you could get to this with now stuff would be if someone made an electronic mount that sent the image that the lens was capturing back to the iPhone and the iPhone did basically what that camera did...
or unless someone managed to build this stuff into a lens and sell it at a consumer price (highly unlikely)

would be awesome though if it was purchasable now...

no video specs = no 5k
no 5k = deal breaker
File this one under useless... :hand:

For consumer cameras with gimmicks, great.

I think it's hard to revolutionize specially with tiny features like this on a professional environement. In the professional realm it seems like both film and still cameras have remained pretty much the same since their conceptions.

The real question is: What is next for professional camera design? RED is definitely answering a lot of these questions... We shall just wait and see what sticks.

Guys, this is just a joke anyway

When she puts down the lens, you can see thru the lens, so where is the sensor?
And the touchscreen is shifting around all the time, so it's clearly nothing but a (bad) composite.

Move on, there is nothing to see here.

It's a concept video, you are attacking this for all the wrong reasons.

I wish you guys showed a bit more respect to people who are posting an idea, an idea they've obviously spent quite some thoughts, time and money on.

Just that facts that people are re-thinking how we can use cameras, should make us all happy, even though that particular usage may or may not be our cup of tea. But any improvement is good.

Tough critic, for what it is, it's pretty good.
