  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

NAB... still no official RED NAB UPDATES

Then Mark you will be pleased to know that our Epic M8 was tested on Clay's shoot in NY underwater, warm water that was,
inside the UWH for nearly 3 hours strait were the temperature inside the housing was good in off to cook an egg... ;)

As mentioned here... Epic Introduction

EPIC M8???

Performed flawlessly non stop without a single heating warning, just beautiful, so Heat test PASSED!!

Get an Epic M, you will not regret its build quality and Titanium mount either... ;)

Hey Ketch, Watched the Vid. Very nice, All the more reason................

You know when you get a tingle up your spine like a ghost just pasted through you... Just had that happen to me then.
......

I'm feeling faint. need water..... back in 5.

Cup of tea and a lie down mate, I am sure there is one with your name on it soon ...
Cheers
Neslo

I think he was talking about Mark Pugh....

but I hope I'm wrong.

Oh.. I thought it was you because in the other thread where Jarred said to email him. It's gotta be you.

Yes... I'm lost Rob, I'm not sure. Maybe the guys are just teasing me.

Mark... stop complaining and get ready for your EPIC-M.

Jim

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JIM YOU ROCK!!! FINALLY FINALLY. Mark you know I was championing you on this one, you have to come to LA personally to pick it up and let me know we've got to use the Red Studio for some crazy Action shoot.

I just watched the Visual Impact "whats on at Nab" U tube video.
Apparently; you can see a lady getting a Tattoo filmed on 5k RED at the booth. BUT best of all the RED DRAGON SHIRT !! I want one! How do I get one please.
Information? Just watch the site and the web its all out there. Great Marketing and sooo effective.
Cheers
Tony Covell.

LOL, yah I hope it's BOTH Marks since both are pretty awesome and would create some fantastic stuff :)

Hopefully the suspense ends soon!

Anthony

Me Too Anthony...

I think Jim and Jarrard were just teasing... :(
Left messages with everyone but no cigar.

I think another big (undisclosed) movie has swept them all up ... again.

I so hope "X" is literally just around the corner for me. (or an M)
I've got this massive job coming up which needs to be shot on something small. We cannot use our RED ONE's because of the size of them when they are put together.
I need to back pack it like Seymore did.
I'd hate to get forced onto a bloody 5D.. YUK! I refuse to go backwards.

Is there anyone out there with a "M" doing stuff all in June. PM me please. (I know your out there)
You will need a lot of VOLT batteries, It will be a 8 country shoot through the Middle east. I promise you'll have stories to tell at the end of it and we will test your "M" big time..

Oh stop it!

I just want to say I just completed a shoot in New Zealand -
Glaciers, snow, waterfalls, back-lit skies. Alexa was available. I thought about it for a while, because of the tricky subject matter, and dynamic-range required.
Went with the RED One instead.
With the RED, i know exactly where the sensor hits it's limits, and I can get a good shot right working right up to that limit. (No Low-contrast filter blooming the highlights).
The shots look great. I'm very happy with my choice.
I've seen similarly great results in Mark Toia's work shot in similar conditions on the RED, for the same reasons, I think. Thank you for the great camera, Jim.

Love to see it when done.
Yes MX works a treat in bright glaring snow. So much detail!
