Epic Guide Track Mic

[James McLellan]

Just thinking outloud here. 98% of the time I am recording sound on an external recorder. If I wanted to hook up a simple guide track mic are there mics with the Epic 1/8" end available that can plug in and work? I see the accessory that wooden camera has made and it looks great but can I hook something up without it?

any mic will work

Very interesting. I love the simplicity. Probably worth it just to experiment for $15. Thanks for the tip.

It depends on whether the Epic will have "plug in power" for the tiny microphones. It is different then phantom power.
