Cheap hotel VEGAS for NAB

Where's the cheapest, dumpiest place I can stay? Going to NAB on a whim tomorrow without any bookings. I don't care if I'm anywhere near the strip. Just need a cheap place to stay. Any ideas?

Depends how cheap. You can stay at some seriously sh*t dives down on Fremont street if you want basically free. IF you're willing to drop $50 you can get a room at the Luxor or what have you. But just check Kayak.com or Travelocity. They know better than us camera folks about hotels/motels.

The best last minute deals convenient to the Convention Center are as follows:

Sahara Las Vegas (on the monorail route to convention center) @ $75/night

Royal Resort (on convention center drive about 2 blocks from convention center walking) @ $89/night

I'm at the motel 6 on tropicana blvd.

nothing grand but clean, a 10 min walk to the monorail and only 30 dollars a night

There are some motels/hotels which offer only night fare, i.e., you will have to vacate in the morning. So basically you will be using the room only to sleep in the night. I forgot the hotel name but with some research and inquiry you should be able to locate them. I guess they are about $25 per night.
