Hi Folks,

I've taken on a project where the audio has been recorded separately to the picture, but the picture has no guide track embedded.
Ordinarily I would cut the film, and then go back in and sync only the takes i use, but in this case I have to sync all the takes before i edit.

My questions is: if i create subclips for each take, will I still be able to conform again at the end? I've heard horror stories of people creating subclips and not being able to reconform because of file names not matching.

Thanks for your advice :)

I use a plugin for FCP called Pluraleyes to automatically sync sound recorded on my Zoom H4 to footage shot on DSLRs with Reference Audio. The process is automatic and generally works well. They have a free trial available on their site: http://www.singularsoftware.com/pluraleyes.html

Hope this helps!
