Scarlet 8x meets the Iron Horse

That's one happy kid! :) Looking forward to your report, Joseph.

This camera, with the addition of a couple of lens attachments...
x0.6 wide, x1.7 telephoto and +0.5, +1, +2 achromatic diopters,
will be a crazy powerful tool in the right hands; at such a great price point.
Who does not want to be the first with one in their hands!
You are very fortunate indeed Joesph Hudson!

BTW Holy HDR Jarred!

Sky is perfect (Is it a replacement? Saturation levels tell me, no.) yet you still see under the damn car!

Scarlet development... many millions $
A helicopter ride.. a few thousands $
The smile on Joseph face... priceless
There are somethings that you can't buy...
For everything else, there is Jim's Mastercard... :-)

Very exciting. Good to see the community involvement before this thing hits the streets. Congrats to RED and Joseph. Thats a dream come true for that kid.

Joseph You lucky B. !!! :w00t: I'm really happy for you ! you deserve it ! ;)

So Joseph got the first Scarlet 8x? I like that. You lucky bastard. :)

Epic BTS will never be the same. Lets see a short with available light.

...and, don't brag too much or we'll slowly begin to hate you! ;)

Epic American Tour San Francisco w/Scarlet... ;)

Epic American Tour San Francisco w/Scarlet... ;)

While in San Francisco during our Epic American Tour,
hosted by Nathan Garofalos, I WAS BLOWN AWAY BY SCARLET!!

In fact I like it so much that I told Jarred I felt a bit guilty that I like it so much more then I expected, and that now our beloved Epic M will have to share time with Scarlet!

Nathan, Joseph and I shot with Scarlet for the all day, very exited and in disbelieve that we were actually shooting SCARLET!!

The camera felt incredibly well in my hands, super light and super well balanced, while on the Heli flying over San Francisco, I hand held the camera for most of the trip with no fatigue,
having to hold it far form the body to make my self a Human Gyro, when Nathan, that was shooting Epic hung off the side door, and I switch and I give him the Scarlet and I tucked the
Epic to continue shooting I was in for a surprise to see how light Scarlet really was, to the defense of Epic we had one of our Master Primes mounted on, he he.

The controls of the menu and everything else were an easy switch form Epic, however the integrated Zoom lens and the single ring design for control of iris,
Zoom and focus was an insane pleasure to work with, very responsive and truly an other RED WONDER!!

The Epic with Master Prime set at T*22 needed still some stopping down while flying over the San Francisco Golden Gate,
while the Scarlet thanks to the filters give a much nicer control, love that feature, well, actually love all features, especially some insane specs!!

So much to write, just simply stunned by the Body form and functionality of this little piece of wonder!! Very well worth the WAIT!!!

Joseph and Nathan wil express their own opinions, which I am sure they are also in WOW of this truly fantastic camera.

THANK YOU RED FOR THIS LITTLE HUGE SURPRISE!!!
