  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

NAB 2011 Reduser Party?

I'm voting for tuesday... Anytime. Monday would be good too if we start early, so I can stop by before the poker tournament. Hehe. I can't do wednesday. Seems I'm in the minority.
 
There's something going every night, FCPmeet and AJA are but two things. I would like to still be there on wednesday, but it's not to be this year...
 
I'm going to FCP Supermeet but I need an invite to AJA...can anyone hook me up and get me on the guestlist? :-)
 
Ok folks! I'm attending my first NAB so I'm a complete neophyte regarding Las Vegas (and indeed the entire West Coast!). If anyone is travelling from LA Sunday for the Monday opening via car I'm happy to go halves on gas/driving etc. Will make a separate thread with more queries but to keep it on topic, I'm keen to attend the unofficial Reduser party on the Wednesday so count me in!

I'm leaving LA early Monday morning (5ish) for Monday show. Let me know, if interested in sharing the ride. I could leave Sunday, but I have no hotel for that night.
I too vote for Monday or Tuesday. Get together at the Polo Towers and BYOB sounds fantastic.

David from IndyZone here. I'll be attending my first NAB, too. But I will only be there until Wednesday afternoon, so I might not make it to this Wednesday night gathering. Hope to see you on the show floor!

Hey Jake!

Is it going to be hard to find a cheap motel in/around Vegas? I haven't booked anything yet so if it's going to be an issue I'd best get cracking!!

I was thinking about renting a car for the trip (cheap Japanese runabout or some such) so I'll have mobility and the freedom to go where I choose, when I choose. Trying to keep on the frugal side of spending money since there's a certain little camera I'd like to be ready for as soon as Red deigns to give me the nod.... :D Thoughts?

Oh and if anyone wants to share a twin hotel/motel room to save on costs drop me a line also! Ideally I'd have a room somewhere in/around Vegas the night of the 10th to the morning of the 14th when I plan to head back to LA proper, or San Francisco... or anywhere else that I decide to go based on meetings/suggestions from you kind folks at NAB!! :)

Hi Paul,

I'm arriving in LA at 21:33. Yet to book hotel or car (though I want one to be able to drive on to Zion national park and possibly Sequoia NP before heading back to LA for my return flight on the 20th). We've been in contact a few times on Twitter (CineQ). It'll be good to meet you in person (and everyone else of course) Get in touch via PM if you think our travel plans could match.
I'm definitely up for the Wednesday reduser meet.
Also a Vegas and NAB virgin. Been to the Southwest and Cali a number of times though.
