What should every AC have in their diddy bag?

it depends on the job, but usually:

- Soft tape measure (and the steel one, too)
- lens cleaning fluid and tissue, air blower and dust-off
- color/macbeth chart, gray scale, siemens star
- insert slate
- rain cover (for camera, carts, etc)
- gaffer tape, paper tape (usually supplied by production co., but it's better to have a few rolls anyway)
- flashlight
- permanent and dry-erase markers, sharpies, pens, pencils
- Leatherman and multitool swiss knife
- dof calculator and tables
- "sausages" for marking actors positions
- extra batteries for dp's lightmeter
- camera reports
- screwdrivers: philips, slotted, precision, hex keys
- orangewood sticks if you're working with film
- velcro
- and I'm sure I'm forgetting something..

PLUS, a lot of stuff you don't usually own but that can be necessary for every shoot and comes with the camera (or with the DP).

Some of this stuff goes on the belt, other stays in the bag, on the cart, or in the front box.

btw, I may be wrong, but isn't it ditty bag? (funny, in italy we just call it "the bag", using the english word)

Thanks man! Well, I wasnt sure if it was "diddy" or "Ditty" becayse a Diddy bag is a bag the use military use to use in war to carry items. However there are also Ditty bags haha. well see
