"The Chronicles of Rick Roll" Trailer (Shot on Red One)

Here's a project I'm working on. It's also my first project using RED. We shot this "concept trailer" based on the existing treatment with the goal of using it as a tool for gaining media and production interest. This was shot on the RED One (with the exception of the introduction scene). The plan moving forward is to shoot the feature length film on the RED 5k Epic.

Heads up, internet jokes ahead! If you're less of a web nerd you might not get much of the humor in this, but I'd still be interested in your take on the overall production value. Keep in mind that this is a "concept trailer" and does not represent an existing bigger production, which would still have to be refilmed entirely and on a much larger budget. I won't say what the budget was for this trailer production, but I would be interested in hearing your estimates!

Would love to get any other thoughts you may have as film makers and particularly as fellow RED supporters, users, owners, etc.

Some fun internet parody going on here. Acting is a little weak, but shots look ok and the concept is interesting. Give it all you've got and the best of luck to you.

The main characters will be recast with more popular actors. As for the others, we'll be working with them but at the end of the day I was pretty happy with everyone's performance considering the fact that nobody was a professional (yet). Thanks for your kind words!
