I created DCP with Easy DCP the resolution of original tiffs were 1920X1080. and movie length was 85 minutes. The original folder size of tiffs was about 800 GIgs now DCP package is 43 gigs. I got message that Easydcp finalized dcp creation successfully and 123612 files were processed. That is exactly the number of tiffs I had.

So 43 gigs is not small? because 105 minutes movie DCP package size was around 80 gigs. and was 2048X1080

So I am little worried did DCP make bad quality jpg200s? I am taking it to cinema tonight and will see but would like to know what is the usual size of 85 minutes movie DCP package?

\any updates on what your footage looked like on the big screen? :) I'm considering going the Easy DCP route in a few months time...

I liked it very much. It is 10 times better than Blu Ray. Though I was told on this forum that exporting tiffs from FCP and creating DCP on that is not ideal and optimal. So I am still searching for optimal DCP route

We go from FCP prores444 take it into AE CS5. Project in 16-bit and render out dpx's. Than take that into EasyDCP. Have a proven workflow with no gamma shitfs, color consistency etc. when viewed in cinema's.

The EasyDCP part is done in collaboration with Knut Erik Evensen, who has a lot of experience with EasyDCP. Lots of good info on his blog:

Precisely,

I should export self contained movie from FCP prores 444 self contained settings. Then Export in AE cs5. How this 16-bit project is done? and render out you mean export from AE cs5?

thanks
