Hey guys, I am DIT'ing a shoot Saturday and they are asking me to do a slight color touch and then convert the footage to prores or something editable on set. Previously I have just used my MBP and R3D data manager to dump, while checking the clips in Redcine X.

So there is no way I can convert those clips on my laptop. What is the best way to do it? Find someone with a Red Rocket? Also what program do you use to color correct? Red Alert or Red Cine?

Thanks!

Ok so I normally don't discuss rates onlines...but I finally found out that the rate for this job was only $250 for 12...to be DIT/2nd and one light/transcode on set. I turned it down and apparently they found someone else... Am I crazy or is that ridiculously low?
