MC551 AMA missing source settings

New install of MC 5.5.1 with the AMA plug-in for R3D files. Old footage from an old camera build. File can be imported via "Link to AMA" but source settings doesn't display any of the RED SDK adjustments. The panel is blank. This previously worked fine in 5.0.3.x. Anyone else seeing this?

(Mac OSX 10.6.6, 8-core MacPro, 12GB RAM ATI5870 card)

Yes, I re-installed the version that's currently on Avid's website. That's the Red AMA 1.5 version with a Feb build date. I wonder if there's a 10.6.6 conflict, even though MC 5.5.1 is supposed to be qualified for this OS version.

So far, all my R3D stuff has a source settings available... What version # of camera firmware created those R3D's you are having problems with?

VERY early. As in "in the beginning". I also have some Epic files (downloaded from here) that don't work at all. I'll have to look for something in between.

I don't have anything I can share right now. Can you share one that you have that doesn't work, and I can check that on my system?

OK, it's a puzzle. It's now working. At first I thought it might be a project issue, so I started a fresh project. Used my footage, plus Jarred's London Eye clip from last year, which I just downloaded. Both show up with source settings. Went back to the old project and tried again. Now it's working.

The only thing that might be related is that I had also installed PhraseFind and it was indexing in the background. Quite possible that this was somehow taxing resources enough to prevent the SS from showing up. Just a thought.

Also in between yesterday and today, the system has been completely powered down and back up. In any case, it's working now. Thanks.
