Hi everyone. I am interested in knowing what material the platters in the 320GB RED-Drives are made from. Are they aluminum or a glass/ceramic composite? Many thanks, James.

I'm pretty sure they are off the shelf third party laptop drives with custom firmware.

Now I think about it.. The Bomb EVF also seems to be made out of the
same material.. :thumbup1:
 
Yeah, we've got extra drives from a time when a production wouldn't pay for a DIT but would pay for drives to be shuttled from the Isle of Man to London every two days.
