... come on Jim, you know you want too...
We need a cost effective kickass projector to go with our REDRay's

That and a HD wireless video and synced audio module to tidy up the EPIC rig and of course a wireless follow focus system.

I've seen a certain 3rd party who is getting together quite an impressive wireless HD transmitter/receiver for 2 channels of video for 3D use. I don't think RED needs to put their R&D team to work on that...but what do I know?

With the Electronic Canon Mounts (and Scarlet's FIXED LENS unit), you will be able to use the REDmote (and eventually the REDmote Pro) to pull focus...

having a wireless HD video module to make it "built into" the camera would be very cool.

While I think its great to control the focus of still lenses I don't see much use for it in motion as the distance is so short on still lenses as they are designed for just that still photography with very quick auto focus

From the very beginning, the use of a Redmote for still lens follow-focus control has been paired with the concept of re-mapping the inherently short-throw of these lenses to a long-throw on the focus knob. I believe this can already be accomplished with manual follow-focus systems through the use of larger physical gears. And, by its very nature, a wireless, electronic follow-focus system could allow it without variously-sized gears through alternate mapping ratios, possibly even offering various ratios with the same lenses, depending on the preference of the operator or requirements of a shot. I'm not sure whether auto-focus response could re-mapped in a similar way.

If the "NAB surprise" turns out to be a 4k projector, then RED spilling the beans now wouldn't make it much of a surprise, now would it? ;-)
