System is in excellent condition, very clean, very few signs of use. As a comparison, it runs comparable to my 2010 MBP 17" with 2.8GHz i7 CPU, except when under intensive CPU load (rendering, R3D processing, etc..). On computationally intensive tasks it's about 20% slower than the i7. I don't know how this compares to the new MBP's just released. However, this system works great for general editing and most performance tasks. I've cut several short-form projects on this laptop when connected to an eSATA RAID. Adobe CS4 and CS5 both work great on this system, even when cutting 4K R3D footage.

Purchased October 2009. Covered under AppleCare until October 12, 2012.

Asking $1995 or best offer. Buyer pays shipping. System is located near Golden, CO.

Please PM or email to jeff at RojoMojo dot net if interested.

Yes, since someone asked me via PM... This system can run DaVinci Resolve. GUI runs on the 9400M GPU and it can use the 9600GT for additional processing. Surprisingly it runs pretty well, when connected to an eSATA RAID. This was the top of the line model available at NAB '10, nearly a year ago. BMD had Resolve and other software running on this config at their booth.
