So it's that time of year again - time to get the old liver in shape for another week at NAB! As always, FKB is going to be there to catch the latest and greatest for everything that is related to RED.

To help everyone out we're putting together the third annual NAB Map. So after everyone's spent a few hours at the Red booth - where should they go? What accessory booths do you think will be important for the Red community to check out?

If you have a booth and would like to help sponsor the map by getting a banner ad, send me an email or PM. We still have a few slots open.

cheers,

Wow! Not everybody at once! Or is nobody going to leave the Red booth for the entire show? ;)

The obvious ones are:
Oconnor
Anton Bauer
Zacuto
Redrock Micro
Abel Cine
16x9 Inc
Small HD
Element Technica
Arri
AJA
Adobe
Black Magic
1 Beyond
Sonnet
Caldigit

What new guys are going to be there?

I know what you mean! There's a lot of vendors!

How about rumours? Has anyone come across interesting tweets, etc, about stuff to look out for?

With Apple expected to release the Final Cut update around then, I'd be surprised if they didn't have some presence there...

Apple... ahhhh. I heard something recently about them. Probably BS, almost certainly not for NAB this year, but it's *rumoured* they're working on a 4K prosumer display...

Yeah, rumours... but I'd give this some slight credibility; if anyone is going to bring it to the semi-mass market, Apple seem to be a good candidate; they have some track record with big expensive (for the consumer market) displays.

Funny I just commented about the HiDPI tech Apple is working on at MacBook Pro Released topic. It sounds close to 4K stuff :)

Although Apple won't have a booth, there was some FCP demo stuff in the Panasonic booth last year i believe... maybe something like that. Or maybe they'll actually show up at the FCPUG supermeet this year...

Doesn't passive 3D need 3840x2160 to display 1080p 3D? maybe that's where they're headed...
